BUILDING DEPARTMENT

                Construction in the Town of Greenfield is governed by the Building Code of New York State.  Any changes in your property that are regulated by this Code require a Building Permit.  Such permits can be obtained from the Building Department upon submission of an application and additional materials as required.

                It is recommended that a resident call the Building Department and check before starting any type of construction or remodeling.  A Certificate of Occupancy (CO) or Certificate of Compliance (CC) is issued upon completion of the project and a final inspection.
